Alexander Ware is a Special Counsel and Head of Commercial Litigation in our Sydney office. He helps businesses and their owners navigate complex commercial disputes with clear, practical advice and a strategy focused on protecting their interests and achieving early commercial outcomes.
Alexander has extensive experience acting in complex commercial, construction, insolvency and property disputes.
Having worked in leading national and international law firms as well as specialist litigation practices before joining Roberts Crosbie Mortensen Lawyers in 2026, Alexander combines strong technical expertise with a practical understanding of the commercial realities facing clients.
He has represented clients in proceedings before the Supreme Court of New South Wales, Federal Court of Australia, NSW Court of Appeal, High Court of Australia, Land and Environment Court, and the New South Wales Civil and Administrative Tribunal (NCAT).

Alexander has developed a reputation for resolving high-value and strategically significant disputes involving contractual claims, shareholder and business disputes, director and governance issues, insolvency-related litigation, professional negligence, misleading and deceptive conduct claims, debt recovery, property disputes and building and construction matters.
His construction and infrastructure disputes experience includes acting for contractors, developers, owners, councils and government entities in arbitration, Supreme Court proceedings, security of payment disputes and adjudications, defective works claims, contractor insolvencies and major infrastructure project disputes. He has also acted in significant matters involving enforcement of arbitral awards, injunctions, contractual interpretation, security instruments and project risk allocation.
Alexander’s insolvency and restructuring practice includes acting for liquidators, administrators, bankruptcy trustees, creditors, directors and companies in disputes arising from insolvency events, voidable transactions, examinations, debt recovery proceedings, corporate governance issues and restructuring matters. His Foundation Certificate in International Insolvency Law complements his practical experience advising insolvency practitioners and businesses facing financial distress.
